Who do I see?

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults on a variety of presenting concerns. I also enjoy working with college and graduate students in navigating the many stressors and demands of completing their degrees.

What kind of concerns do I work with?

Often, my clients come to me reporting that they feel stuck, overwhelmed, alone, and unsure of themselves. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing:

  • Major life transitions and adjusting to new life roles
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Identity development
  • Worry, Anxiety, and Nervousness
  • Relationship challenges
  • Sadness
  • Self-Criticism

Why do I do therapy?

There is no such thing as a life without pain. My hope is to be with people in their pain, and also to help them consider how they can respond. My approach to therapy is that life is hard, but humans are amazing, and have a tremendous capacity to grow, respond, and lead meaningful lives.

I believe in offering kindness, conscientiousness, and openness in therapy. My hope is that my clients will feel heard and respected, and that they will leave not only feeling more supported and understood, but also more equipped to respond.

It is important to me to also practice being fully present in the therapy, and acting on my own values for kindness, reliability, and genuineness. I care deeply about my clients and my work, and am grateful to be allowed into my clients’ lives.

What is therapy like?

Therapy is a unique space. You can say anything you need to say, without judgment. I am invested in making my therapy space one where your needs are prioritized, and enjoy to learn more about how unique each of my clients are so that I can respond in a way that fits each person.

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion, and existential themes and framework in my work with clients.

What if I’m unsure about therapy?

It’s so hard to make the phone call. If you’re not sure about therapy, I’m happy to meet with you and talk to you about what to expect, and we can decide together what will make the most sense for you.

My final thoughts.

I am so honored to be a part of my clients’ lives. My favorite part of my job is connecting to people, and I do not take it lightly that people are willing to trust me with their pain and hurt. I hope to honor it by offering empathy and genuine care, and am invested in offering whatever I can to ease suffering. I believe in people, and I believe in the human capacity to change and grow. I also believe that it’s incredibly hard to be a person, and that sometimes therapy is about making changes, and sometimes it’s about learning that you’re okay as you are.
